RXC Membership Details and Requirements

Racer X Cycling/ColoBikeLaw (RXC) is an amateur bicycle racing team and a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation, based in the Denver metro area. RXC maintains a winning presence across all race disciplines including road, gravel, mountain, cross, and track at the local, national and international level. With over 90 adult members and 35 junior racers, our team fosters a positive environment for cyclists who want to improve their skills and reach their personal racing goals.

RXC fields racers in every race category, from juniors to 70-plus, from cat-5 beginners to competitors at the highest levels of the sport. We operate with a strong sense of camaraderie and support, and believe in training, racing and giving back to the team as well as to the community through mentoring, volunteering, and donations of our time. Most importantly, we love our sport and love to ride and race our bikes!

  • Every member of RXC is expected to actively support and promote the Team’s mission and goals by participating in training rides, races, team events and volunteer opportunities.

  • RXC members are not required to race, however, to qualify for end-of-season rewards, members must race a minimum of five sanctioned races (timed events) in 2025. A combination of races completed in any discipline will qualify.

  • Every RXC member is required to volunteer for at least two team or general community cycling events in 2025 to maintain team membership. RXC will continue to support all events promoted by Shift Events, a list of opportunities will follow. It is preferred that volunteer efforts outside of team-recommended events are in furtherance of cycling. Race participation and volunteer participation is tracked.

  • Members must list “Racer X Cycling/ColoBikeLaw” on their Bicycle Colorado membership, USAC membership and race entry forms. This step ensures that race points and participation are rewarded properly, which is used to determine end-of-season results.

  • RXC members may not race for another team unless they have received  prior written permission from the RXC Board.

  • A 2025 RXC race kit is included with membership (identified with “F2B2 ‘25” on the back of the collar). All members must wear the current race kit in races during the 2025 race season.

  • Sponsorship deals are exclusively for RXC members and must not be communicated or extended to individuals outside the team, posted online OR shopped at other bike shops or stores. Violations may result in dismissal from the RXC Team.

  • The 2025 RXC membership term starts on January 1st (or signup date if after Jan. 1) and ends on December 31st. A complete 2025 membership application, full payment and RXC Board approval is required to be accepted as an RXC member.

  • RXC members are expected to strictly adhere to established laws, regulations and rules of conduct while riding a bike on roads or trails. Click HERE for more detail. Violations of these guidelines may result in cancellation or non-renewal of  team membership, as determined by the Board.

  • Team training rides are for RXC team members only. In order to join team training rides, non–members must sign an RXC Team Release/Accident Waiver prior to the start of the ride. Non-members must adhere to Team ride safety and codes of conduct. Validated complaints by team members related to a non-team rider will result in an initial warning to the offending rider. Should the inappropriate behavior continue, the offending rider will no longer be allowed to participate in any subsequent Team rides or events.

  • The 2025 membership fee is $320, which includes a credit for the 2025 RXC custom Cuore race team base kit. Base kit includes one Bronze Sport short-sleeve jersey, one pair of Silver shorts or bibs and a pair of socks. When the Cuore clothing store opens (watch for an announcement!) all members must purchase, at a minimum, this year’s race kit consisting of a cycling top, a cycling bottom (or combo) and a pair of socks.

  • For applications submitted after January 31, 2025, kit and additional clothing may not arrive in time for the start of the 2025 racing season.

  • Additional clothing order opportunities may be offered during the year.
